Simon Has a long history in the engineering and manufacturing sectors including spells with Shell and Nissan. Currently, Simon the Managing Director of Hethel Innovation Ltd. and runs the Hethel Engineering Centre business incubator and the Scottow Enterprise Park.
Additionally, he oversees an enterprise and innovation consultancy, focused on growing the knowledge economy through collaborative innovation, sector focused economic development and business demand driven skills training.
Philip Mickleborough is a Innovation Facilitator at Hethel Innovation. Following the completion of his Masters in Mathematics (MMth) at University of East Anglia, Philip joined the team at Hethel taking lead in the Manufacturing and Engineering Sector, this role see’s Philip provide support to businesses in New Anglia (Norfolk and Suffolk), facilitating Collaboration between Academia and Industry, as well as mapping sectors and businesses within this area.
Prior to joining Hethel Innovation, Philip was involved in the Motorsport industry helping grow and develop a local racing team on the journey of competing at an International level. Though Philip studied Math he took an applied route, specializing in Fluids, Quantum Mechanics/Fluids and Modelling, during this time Philip took the opportunity to spend a year studying in America.
